Optimised Chain - Silca Secret Chain Blend

Price is for optimised and treated chain(s) with Silca Secret Chain Hot Melt Wax. Includes performance data (Lube packs shown for identification only and not included).  The process is outlined below with more information updated here (Link)

1. Pre-Optimisation - Each chain is given a unique number and its data passport created to allow performance and wear tracking throughout its life.
   
   
2. Dyno Conditioning – Run on the dyno to ‘condition the chain’ and level out manufacturing tolerances and tightness.  This is not an aggressive conditioning but aims to get the chain in best condition before treatment.  1hour at 350w followed by 30mins at 750w.
   
   
3. Cleaning - Multi-stage cleaning, including a minimum of two ultrasonic cleans.  As a lab based clean, we include ultrasonic solvent based cleaning ending with lab pure IPA
   
   
4. Length – Chain can be made to length for optimal data.
   
   
5. Precision chain length measurement – measurement of complete chain length with an accuracy of 5microns and repeatability of 10 microns in this cleaned state
   
   
6. Hot Wax Treatment – hot wax treatment as to the manufacturer’s instructions.
   
   
7. Hand breaking of individual waxed links
   
   
8. Dyno Conditioning and Performance Measurement – After hand-braking the wax links it essential that the chain is run before racing.  The chain is run for 15-20 minutes at 250watts until the performance has started to flatten out and heading towards its maximum efficiency.
   
   
9. Post Optimisation Journey - Data is compiled and the chain is shipped with its data passport showing its performance and wear history.
